Keväällä 2024 viimeisimmän ”Uncle Knuckle” -albuminsa julkaissut laulajakitaristi Knucklebone Oscar sai pitkäsoiton ensimmäiselle singlebiisille laulajavieraaksi Tuure Kilpeläisen. Yhteistyön tuloksena syntyi kuumottavan säröinen versio 1970-luvun soulhitistä “(If Loving You Is Wrong) I Don’t Want to Be Right”. Kappaleen versioiminen oli musiikkityylillisesti uusi aluevaltaus molemmille artisteille. "Se on kuin irtiotto kaikesta aiemmasta meille molemmille. Se kuuluu minusta biisissä hyvällä tavalla. Kappaleesta tuli aidosti omaperäinen." Myös Tuure Kilpeläinen oli tyytyväinen omalaatuiseen tulkintaan klassikkobiisistä. "Onneksi tässä on löytynyt hommaan ihan oma kulma, tuotanto ja tulkinta, jossa on villit ja urbaanit soundit. Kitara kommentoi säröistä laulua tujakasti. Tuntuu, että meidän molempien tapa tuottaa omaa ääntä sopii hyvin yhteen" Kilpeläinen sanoo. "Oscarin soittama blues ja kitaransoitto sisältää sellaista sopivaa hulluutta ja vaaran tunnetta, josta tykkään", Kilpeläinen kehaisee. Singer-guitarist Knucklebone Oscar, who released his latest album “Uncle Knuckle” in the spring of 2024, had Tuure Kilpeläinen as a guest vocalist for the first single of the album. The collaboration resulted in a hotly distorted version of the 1970s soul hit “(If Loving You Is Wrong) I Don’t Want to Be Right”. Reworking the song was a new musical style for both artists. “It’s like a break from everything that came before for both of us. I think it comes across in the song in a good way. The song became truly original.” Tuure Kilpeläinen was also pleased with the unique interpretation of the classic song. "Fortunately, we have found our own angle here, production and interpretation, with wild and urban sounds. The guitar comments on the distorted vocals in a strong way. It feels like both of our ways of producing our own sound fit together very well," says Kilpeläinen. "Oscar's blues and guitar playing contain the right amount of madness and a sense of danger, which I like," says Kilpeläinen. The concert is open to all ages.
